Uphill battles next week.
Nov 17th 7:23AMThe ones will need to bat the 80 overs next week as Mitcham final pair put on 90 odd to put them in the box seat at the end of day 1. The seconds crawled to 226 after a fluent start from the opening batsmen, Aff againing showing the form he is in at the moment. The thirds seemed a little short on runs but put in a huge effort falling just short of the win, with one of their batsmen making 50* proving the difference.

Days out for captain bowlers!
Nov 10th 7:54AMMust of been the week for captains with the ball. Both Chris and Tri taking 5 wicket hauls over the weekend.
Chris leading the charge in the ones as they knocked over Heatherdale inside 30 overs. The second dig proved a little more difficult to get wickets and the outright wasn't to come.
The seconds finished in another nail bitter, as has been the case for a few seasons now we again were on the wrong side of a close result as it came done to the 6 or so balls in the game.
Sunday's came was short and very sweet, much to Matt Halbert's joy (thanks for backing up both bays) Inform bowlers in Tri and Lawrence distroyed the batting line up, taking 8 between them, would of been all 10 if catches were held. The chase was done and dusted within 10 overs.

Milestones.
Nov 3rd 12:54PMIn recent weeks some senior players have passed club milestones in the 2 day version of the game, they are as follows:
J.Irish 3,500 runs in Rd 2
A.Desai 500 runs in rd 2
C.Langley 500 runs in Rd 4
Congratulations Afrim.
Nov 2nd 9:50AMAfrim has showen plenty of talent in the shorter version of the game for a few years now. This season the club has called on him to step up to the two day form. On Saturday he got to find out the benifits of not retiring at 50 by going on to record his maiden century for the club. Well done Aff and we hope to see plenty more runs from you in the future.
Jason Irish finally made some runs after being dropped from the ones. After being a late withdrawal then a late inclusion into the 2nds to record a score of 110* turning back the clock.
In the ones Meshi nearly made it three for the club, getting so close but falling for 98.
Both teams posted score above 300 and most importantly batted all the overs! Match reports as they come to hand.
The thirds once again get the points due to a forfeit and enjoy the long weekend.
Special thanks to Gus to stepping up for the club at short notice to play seconds and to blakey for his help at the seconds.
